I am currently employed as a Graphic Designer at Western Michigan University, in the Marketing department of Student Affairs, and I perform the following duties: working with the Director and Assistant Director of Marketing to produce both print and web ads, Dreamweaver management of Web content and creation of online forms, email correspondence with department staff for proofs and approval, delivery of on campus projects, work with and train student employees, and work within deadlines and tight schedules to make sure projects are on time. Also some clerical work such as copying, data entry, filing, and proof printing.

With my occasional free time I spent it freelancing to stay fresh in the technology field. Some of my projects have included: working as a teacher at the Art Center of Battle Creek teaching comic book design courses, volunteering my time to the Art Center of Battle Creek to produce and maintain their Web site, teaching “Intro to Graphic Design” at Kellogg Community College, painting murals, and working with manufacturing companies to produce interactive CD-ROMs and print materials.

As a Graphic Designer at The Battle Creek Enquirer I performed the following duties: working with a sales staff and advertisers to produce both print and Web ads, producing spec ads for both print and Web ads, Dreamweaver and WS FTP PRO management of Web content, work with the Production (prepress) department to make sure ads produce plates and rip correctly, layout the United Way of Battle Creek bi-monthly newspaper insert, and work within daily deadlines and tight schedules.
